CM Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated the Saras Rajasakhi National Fair on Thursday at the Jawahar Kala Kendra. During the event, he visited various stalls set up by women’s self-help groups (SHGs) from across the country and the state, gaining insights into their products and appreciating their craftsmanship.

CM Bhajanlal Sharma engaged in warm discussions with Lakhipati Didi and other women members of SHGs, emphasizing that self-help groups are playing a pivotal role in empowering women and strengthening the rural economy. Fair Highlights
Running until January 4, the Saras Rajasakhi National Fair showcases India’s rich rural traditions, handicrafts, and art forms. Approximately 300 stalls from 24 states are participating, displaying and selling traditional crafts, handloom products, regional textiles, and artisanal creations. The event highlights the diverse heritage and craftsmanship of rural India, providing a platform for women entrepreneurs to expand their market reach.

The inauguration was attended by Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary (Rural Development) Shreya Guha, State Mission Director for Livelihood and SHG Neha Giri, along with a large gathering of the public. CM Sharma’s engagement with the participants underscored the government’s focus on women empowerment, rural development, and promoting indigenous crafts.
