India’s Cultural Values as a Foundation for Change
Addressing the gathering, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav stressed that true transformation stems from the values and culture ingrained in India’s Sanatan Dharma. He highlighted that India has long been regarded as a Vishwa Guru (Global Teacher) due to its eternal cultural legacy. Emphasizing the significance of values, the CM remarked, “The potential for enlightenment lies within India itself, and it is our culture that paves the path to personal and societal growth.” He also lauded the global achievements of BAPS, particularly the architectural marvel of the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi, which he proudly noted was led by a Mahant from Jabalpur.
Educational Projects for Value-Based Development
The two courses launched by CM Dr. Mohan Yadav aim to inspire and guide students, starting from primary school to college level. The Chalo Bane Adarsh project, aimed at primary schoolchildren, uses video modules to lay the groundwork for value-based education. The program has already made a significant impact in five states — Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan — and is reaching over 4.5 million students in 23,000 schools.
In addition, the Integrated Personality Development Course (IPDC) is designed for college students to help them overcome modern-day challenges like substance abuse, depression, mobile addiction, and negativity by reconnecting them to India’s core cultural values. Pujya Gnyananand Swaroop Swami Ji, a senior BAPS saint, announced the launch of this course for Madhya Pradesh during the ceremony.
A Step Toward Holistic Education
Dr. Yadav expressed pride in the fact that these transformative initiatives began in Madhya Pradesh, and Jabalpur, blessed by the Narmada River, was chosen as the launching point. He added that such projects are instrumental in shaping the next generation, contributing to national progress as the country enters its Amrit Kaal — a new age of growth and self-confidence.
Key Dignitaries Attend the Ceremony
The event was attended by a range of dignitaries, including Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, Jabalpur Mayor Shri Jagat Bahadur Singh, Divisional Commissioner Shri Dhananjay Singh, and others, who all supported the initiatives. The ceremony also featured a Guru Puja at the Shri Swaminarayan Temple, where CM Dr. Yadav paid tribute to Brahmaswaroop Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj, the spiritual successor of Param Brahma Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
