CM Dr. Mohan Yadav: Relief of ₹403 Crore Released to Farmers in Agar-Malwa and Ujjain
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is continuously working for the welfare of farmers, the poor, youth, and women. He said the State government is truly farmer-friendly and dedicated to improving the lives of cultivators through sustained efforts.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that a relief amount of ₹1,800 crore has already been distributed across the state to compensate farmers affected by excessive rainfall. Assistance will continue to be provided to farmers in case their crops are damaged for any reason. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said, “A farmer toils relentlessly, investing his sweat and hard work to produce crops. When natural calamities cause damage, it becomes our duty to support them.”
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing a relief distribution event held on Sunday in Tarana tehsil of Ujjain district. On this occasion, he transferred ₹403 crore in relief to farmers. He transferred ₹138 crore for farmers of Agar-Malwa district and ₹265 crore for farmers of Ujjain district. He also released ₹45 crore through a single-click transfer to 29 lakh women beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, including non-Ujjwala beneficiaries and women from special backward tribes. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also performed Bhoomi Poojan and inaugurated 30 development projects worth ₹31 crore.
Solar Pumps to Empower Farmers
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said several schemes are being implemented for the welfare of farmers. Under the solar pump scheme, farmers now need to contribute only 10 percent of the project cost, while the remaining amount will be borne by the government. The installation of solar pumps will free farmers from electricity bills and encourage them toward sustainable practices. He added that to make farmers self-reliant, the government is promoting dairy and indigenous cattle farming with subsidies. Farmers are being motivated to adopt organic and natural farming instead of using harmful chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Both the central and state governments are providing financial support through farmer honorarium schemes with the aim of increasing farmers’ income and strengthening their economic condition.

Inauguration and Foundation of 30 Projects
At the event, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Poojan for 30 development projects worth ₹31 crore, 21 works worth ₹14 crore were inaugurated, while nine works worth around ₹17 crore were launched.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that a new road will soon connect Tarana to Shajapur and another route will link Tarana directly to Agar Road. He said that most new roads in the state are now being constructed as four-lane highways. He also mentioned that foundation work for a college in Kayatha has been completed, which will provide higher education facilities to local students. The Chief Minister further extended congratulations on the inauguration of an ITI in Tarana.
Industrial Growth and Employment Opportunities
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav informed that an industrial plant worth about ₹8,000 crore is being set up in the Kanasiya-Bardawa region, which will provide employment opportunities to around two to three thousand youth. Providing details on the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, the Chief Minister said that the central government has declared a price of ₹5,328 for soybean. Farmers registered in the mandis will receive the difference between the market price and the declared price from the state government as support.
Member of Parliament Shri Anil Firozia and MLA from Agar-Malwa Shri Madhav (Madhu) Gehlot also addressed the gathering. Skill Development and Employment State Minister and Ujjain District In-Charge Minister Shri Gautam Tetwal, along with MLAs Shri Anil Jain Kalukheda, Shri Satish Malviya, Shri Tej Bahadur Singh, Dr. Jitendra Pandya, Shajapur MLA Shri Arun Bhimavad, Shri Rajesh Dhakad, Shri Rajpal Sisodiya, Shri Jaysingh Umath and several public representatives and dignitaries were present in large numbers.
