CM Mohan Yadav said that the service and welfare of divyangs is a matter of inner joy. The experience and feeling of serving them is devine. To develop harmony with the divyangs, It is necessary to remove the ignorance prevailing in the society towards them. Every divyangs has some talent or the other, by identifying and enhancing it, their energy can be utilized for the benefit of society. As a result of the sensitivity of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the word Viklang was changed to a more respectful Divyang. People facing disability are true heroes who accept challenges. It is the responsibility of the society to accept and respect their ability. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the programme after distributing e-cycles to orthopedic divyangs. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav distributed e-cycles in a programme organized in the auditorium of the Directorate of Social Justice Department in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) on the initiative of Samdarshi Capacity Development and Research Board ‘Saksham’.
Louis Braille remembered on World Braille Day
CM Mohan Yadav inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp. On World Braille Day (January 4), he remembered Louis Braille, who developed the Braille script, and paid floral tributes to him. On this occasion, visually impaired girl Sushri Tanya Sharma gave a soulful rendition of Saksham song. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav greeted Tanya with a bouquet. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released a book developed in Braille script on the schemes and programmes run by the Social Welfare and Disabled Empowerment Department and also honoured social workers with shawls, shriphal and certificates. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav distributed e-cycles symbolically to Sushri Anamika Solanki of Mandsaur, Smt. Rajni Dashore of Khandwa, Sushri Usha Garhwa of Jhabua, Shri Om Tiwari, Shri Sukhdev etc. e-cycles were distributed to 47 orthopedically divyangs of the state.

CM Mohan Yadav said that the Braille script is a great gift for the visually impaired. Also, Braille script is used by the armies of many countries for exchanging messages at night. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav praised the e-cycles being distributed on this occasion. He said that these cycles can be used as wheelchairs at home and as tricycles for commuting outside the house. He said that even after being divyangs, people have made significant contributions in various fields by using their ability and capacity. In the mythological context, the example of Ashtavakra, great musician late Ravindra Jain and Swami Rambhadracharya ji in the field of religion and spirituality is especially noteworthy.
Organization Saksham is dedicated to creating a harmonious environment for divyangs in the society
It was informed in the programme that ‘Saksham’- Samdrishti Kshamata Vikas evam Anusandhan Mandal is an organization dedicated to the empowerment of divyangs, which was established in Nagpur in 2008. Saksham aims to create a harmonious environment for the divyangs in the society by employing such youth and women, protecting their rights, encouraging sports activities, and research, and through seminars and discussions at the state and national level.
