Haryana CM Nayab Saini made several significant announcements during the Sant Namdev Jayanti celebration held at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh Auditorium, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology in Hisar. The event, organized under the “Sant Mahan Yojana,” featured state-level cultural and social programs aimed at promoting Haryana’s rich heritage. PWD Minister Ranbir Gangwa was also present at the ceremony.
Promoting Equality and Social Welfare
CM Nayab Saini emphasized the teachings of Sant Namdev, highlighting values of hard work, honesty, and devotion. He stressed that Sant Namdev’s philosophy, compiled in the Guru Granth Sahib, continues to unite communities and inspire social equality. Following these ideals, the state government is actively implementing welfare schemes to uplift marginalized and underprivileged communities.
Vishwakarma Skill Development Scheme Empowers 30,555 Craftsmen
As part of the Vishwakarma Skill Development Scheme, CM Nayab Saini announced that 30,555 artisans have been trained so far. In addition, a loan facility of ₹50 crore has been made available, and modern toolkits have been provided to trained craftsmen. Under the “Seva Pakwada” initiative, ₹5,000 has been deposited into the accounts of these artisans. The CM highlighted that the government aims to make Haryana’s artisans, farmers, and workers self-reliant, following Sant Namdev’s principle of valuing labor.

New Initiatives for Social Equality and Cultural Development
The CM Nayab Saini remembered Sant Namdev’s efforts in eradicating caste discrimination and untouchability and emphasized the continued relevance of his teachings. Saini added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is committed to the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Collective Effort, Inclusive Development). He also praised the Rohilla and Rajput communities for preserving Sant Namdev’s legacy and pledged to protect Haryana’s cultural heritage.

Incident During CM’s Visit
During the CM’s visit to Hisar Airport, BJP District President Asha Khedar fainted due to sudden dizziness and difficulty breathing. She was immediately provided first aid by the medical team accompanying the CM and later taken to Hisar Civil Hospital for further examination.
