Haryana CM Nayab Saini has expressed dissatisfaction with the report submitted by the District Town Planner (DTP), Sirsa, on illegal colonies and announced that he will review the issue again soon.
CM Nayab Saini has instructed officials to urgently prepare a detailed report on enforcement actions taken against illegal colonies across the state over the past three years and said he will convene a review meeting shortly.
It may be recalled that on August 23, during his visit to Dabwali in Sirsa district to flag off the “Youth Marathon,” the Chief Minister had also held a meeting with the local administration to review ongoing development projects. At the meeting, he had asked for details of action against illegal colonies.
The DTP’s report noted that 32 unauthorized colonies had been identified in Sirsa in the last three years, but only nine FIRs were lodged, of which six were later withdrawn.
Unhappy with this response, the Chief Minister ordered that a comprehensive state-wide status report on action against illegal colonies over the past three years be prepared without delay, adding that he would personally review the matter soon.
