Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that, in light of the growing population, a comprehensive assessment should be conducted to determine the need for fire stations across the state. This will help ensure that new fire stations are established wherever required.
CM Nayab Saini made this statement while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of the Chief Minister’s announcements.
During the discussion, he reiterated the state government’s responsibility to provide essential services—such as roads, electricity, and water—even in remote and hilly areas like Morni. He stressed that even if a single household resides in an isolated region, departments must act to deliver basic facilities so that no citizen faces hardship.
CM Nayab Saini also instructed that a dedicated campaign be launched to make Haryana free of stray cattle. He directed the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department to work in mission mode—alongside the Urban Local Bodies Department and the Gau Seva Commission—to remove stray cattle from streets and public spaces, relocating them to gaushalas within two months.
While reviewing the Animal Husbandry Department’s announcements, he noted that Nandi Shalas have already been established in Panchkula, Panipat, and Hisar districts. He called for efforts to expand this initiative to all remaining districts and recommended exploring CSR support for setting up more Nandi Shalas. Additionally, he directed that veterinary clinics be established at all Nandi Shalas, with arrangements to ensure the presence of visiting veterinary surgeons.
CM Calls for Quality and Speed in Development Work
Reviewing progress in the Irrigation and Water Resources Department, CM Nayab Saini directed officials to maintain quality and ensure timely execution of projects so that the benefits reach the public. He also proposed a survey to explore the possibility of channeling Yamuna River water from the Kalesar region to Panchkula and nearby areas. This step would support agricultural needs and advance the ‘River Linking Campaign’ envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Push for Horticulture and Farmer Welfare
During the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department review,CM Nayab Saini instructed officials to regularly update databases related to subsidy schemes to ensure transparency and benefit delivery to farmers. He also suggested that the department work with agricultural scientists to develop improved seed varieties. The Horticulture Department was advised to actively collaborate with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and provide technical guidance to promote horticulture as part of this year’s action plan.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to CM Arun Kumar Gupta, and several Additional Chief Secretaries and senior officers from various departments including Health, Revenue, Environment, Higher Education, Public Works, SEWA, Energy, Agriculture, and Urban Local Bodies.
