Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini stated that the state government is fully devoted to serving the public, drawing inspiration from the values and path laid down by Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
On the occasion of Dr. Mookerjee’s 125th birth anniversary, CM Nayab Saini paid floral tributes at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi on Sunday. He also participated in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative by planting a sapling and urged citizens to plant trees in honor of great personalities as a contribution to environmental conservation. BJP Haryana State President Mohan Lal Badoli also paid tribute and planted a sapling.
Speaking to the media, CM Nayab highlighted Dr. Mookerjee’s legacy as a staunch nationalist, founder of the Jana Sangh, and a freedom fighter dedicated to the nation’s progress. He emphasized that society must follow Dr. Mookerjee’s ideals to help shape a developed and inclusive India. Dr. Mookerjee is remembered for his commitment to social service and for working tirelessly for the upliftment of the underprivileged.
CM Nayab Saini also shared that a crucial meeting on the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) issue is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on July 9. He expressed hope that a consensus will be reached through mutual understanding, highlighting Haryana’s cordial relationship with Punjab.
Regarding development initiatives, CM Nayab mentioned that a large-scale jungle safari project is in the works in Haryana. He recently visited the Vantara Centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which rescues and rehabilitates injured and abandoned wildlife while also protecting endangered species.
Additionally, CM Nayab Saini revealed that he has requested support from Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to establish a Disneyland-style amusement park in the NCR region. A 500-acre site has already been earmarked for the project, which is expected to become a major hub for tourism.
