The Sacred Confluence of Aruna and Saraswati
Located at the holy confluence of the Aruna and Saraswati rivers, the Arunai Shiv Temple is an ancient pilgrimage site mentioned in the Puranas. The Chief Minister spent time observing the temple’s architectural heritage and interacted with the local priests. He emphasized that the Arunai Shiv Temple is unique because it is believed that the Shivalinga manifested itself here, making it a “Swayambhu” site of immense cosmic energy.
Preserving Heritage and Faith
“Under the guidance of Swami Gyananand Ji Maharaj, I felt a divine aura at the Arunai Shiv Temple today,” the Chief Minister stated. He further added that the ongoing Somnath Swabhiman Parv is a movement to reconnect the youth with India’s glorious past. By visiting centers of faith like the Arunai Shiv Temple, the state government aims to promote spiritual tourism and preserve the cultural fabric of the Kurukshetra region.
The ceremony concluded with a special ‘Ardas’ for ‘Sarbat da Bhala’ (the welfare of all). Local dignitaries and a large number of devotees were present to witness the Chief Minister’s visit, which highlighted the synergy between governance and cultural devotion
