Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini has instructed that no untreated sewage or industrial waste should be allowed to enter any drains across the state. He directed relevant departments to identify all such discharge points and implement effective measures to completely stop the flow of contaminated water. In the initial phase, focused action is to be taken in the districts of Ambala, Kurukshetra, and Yamunanagar, with visible improvements expected within the next three months.
These directions were issued during a review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister to monitor the implementation of the commitments made during the recent budget speech.
Addressing officials, the Chief Minister emphasized that all budgetary promises must be fulfilled promptly to ensure timely benefits for the public.
It is significant that CM Nayab Singh Saini , who also serves as the Finance Minister, had made several key announcements in the Haryana Budget for the financial year 2025–26 during the Assembly session held in March.
While reviewing the proposed Jungle Safari in the Aravalli region, the Chief Minister instructed that only non-dangerous animals be included and that the safari be developed as per the Central Zoo Authority’s guidelines. Considering the monsoon season, he also advised sowing plant species that can thrive and stabilize naturally in the local environment. He reviewed additional initiatives under the Environment and Forests Department and provided necessary directions.
Reviewing developments under the Tourism and Heritage Department, the Chief Minister noted that ₹100 crore has been allocated this year to boost public participation in state festivals, fairs, and cultural programs. He asked the department to work closely with the Information and Public Relations Department to ensure wide-reaching and enthusiastic community engagement.
He also underlined the importance of preserving and beautifying the historic Yadavindra Garden in Pinjore, to attract tourists nationwide. Officials informed him that the Central Government has approved over ₹90 crore for redevelopment work at Yadavindra Garden and Tikkartal in Morni.
International Surajkund Crafts Fair to Be Held Between Dussehra and Diwali
It was also announced that the International Surajkund Crafts Fair will be organized for the second time this year, between Dussehra and Diwali, offering the public another opportunity to enjoy the state’s rich cultural heritage.
CM Nayab Singh Saini further reviewed the progress of announcements made for the Sports Department and instructed that all projects be completed within stipulated timelines.
