Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini has said that a special programme will be organized throughout the state on 25th January as part of the ongoing celebrations of 75 years of adoption of the Indian Constitution. The year-long celebrations had begun on November 26, which is celebrated as Constitution Day.
While reviewing the preparations for the programme here today, Chief Secretary Dr. Vivek Joshi held a meeting with all Deputy Commissioners and Vice-Chancellors of state universities via video conferencing and directed them to organise events on the significance of the Constitution to create awareness in the society, especially among students. A special focus must be laid on highlighting the contribution made by members of the Constituent Assembly.
CM Nayab Singh Saini has desired that the Department of Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture should publish a booklet on the events being conducted throughout the state, the Chief Secretary added.
The Chief Secretary said the photographs and information about these events must be uploaded on the portal constitution75.com along with all other social media platforms, adding that the year-long celebrations will be done under the campaign tagline ‘Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhimaan’. He directed the Deputy Commissioners to chalk out the programme schedule for January 25 and coordinate with the respective universities for successful organisation of the event.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioners and Vice-Chancellors underlined the initiatives and events being planned in their respective districts and universities to celebrate 75 years of adoption of the Constitution. Mass reading of the Preamble, wall paintings, debates, declamation contests, quizzes, guest lectures, seminars, street plays, slogan-writing and moot courts etc will be organised in schools and colleges to create awareness on the ideals of the Constitution.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta; Commissioner & Secretary, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture, Sh. Amit Kumar Agrawal; DG, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture, Sh. K. Makarand Pandurang; Special Secretary, Personnel, Training and Parliamentary Affairs, Sh. Aditya Dahiya, and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
