Strengthening the state’s commitment to its farming community, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini conducted a high-level inspection of the Babain grain market today. During his visit, the Chief Minister interacted directly with ‘Annadata’ farmers and local traders to ensure the smooth execution of the Rabi procurement season 2026-27.
Direct Engagement with Farmers and Traders
Upon arriving at the Babain mandi, Nayab Singh Saini held detailed discussions with several Haryana families involved in farming and trading. He took stock of the ground-level facilities, including drinking water, cleanliness, and shade, emphasizing that the comfort of those bringing their hard-earned produce to the market is a top priority for his administration.
Strict Instructions for Seamless Procurement
To prevent any operational bottlenecks, Nayab Singh Saini issued necessary instructions to the officials present on-site. He reviewed the digital gate pass system and the lifting process, directing the administration to eliminate any delays that could cause inconvenience to the farmers. The Chief Minister warned that any negligence in the procurement process would be met with strict action.

Commitment to MSP and Farmer Welfare
Reiterating his government’s “Nation First, Farmer First” approach, Nayab Singh Saini assured the public that the state is fully prepared for the ongoing wheat and mustard procurement. “Our government is committed to the interests of the farmers, and it is being ensured that every single grain of every farmer’s crop is purchased at MSP,” stated the Chief Minister.
Technological Transparency in Mandis
The Chief Minister also highlighted the new technology-driven measures, such as biometric verification and geo-fencing of mandis, designed to keep the system transparent. Nayab Singh Saini noted that by using Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), payments are being sent directly into the bank accounts of farmers, ensuring they receive their dues without any middleman interference
