CM Nayab Singh Saini announced that permission has been granted for the excavation of the Agroha Dham mound, which is linked to Maharaja Agrasen.
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini expressed that the era of Maharaja Agrasen serves as an inspiration for everyone. He shared his delight in announcing that the required permission for the excavation of the Agroha Dham mound has been granted, and the Haryana Government has formed a committee to initiate the process. Additionally, funds will be allocated for this project in the upcoming budget. The CM made these remarks during the “Chai Pe Charcha” program organized by the Delhi Haryana Agrawal Maitri Sangh at Le Meridien Hotel in New Delhi. Union Minister of Industry and Commerce, Piyush Goyal, also attended the event and extended birthday wishes to CM Saini.
CM Nayab Singh Saini stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a protector of Sanatan culture, and it is through his efforts that the grandeur of our cultural heritage has been restored, with the renovation of landmarks such as the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath, Baba Kedarnath, and Mahakal temples. He emphasized that this region has a history spanning 5,000 years, as confirmed by satellite imagery. Excavating Maharaja Agrasen’s mound will offer a unique opportunity to witness the ancient legacy of Maharaja Agrasen.
Additionally, the Hisar airport has been named after Maharaja Agrasen, and all the necessary procedures for its operation have been completed. The Prime Minister is expected to inaugurate the airport soon, he added.
CM Nayab Singh Saini shared with the attendees that they all have connections to Haryana. He highlighted various initiatives launched by the Haryana government for the welfare of traders, including the creation of the Vyapari Kalyan Board, the CM Nayab Singh Saini Vyapari Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme, the Chief Minister Vyapari Compensation Insurance Scheme, and a Rs 309 crore commission for commission agents. He also mentioned a Rs 62.58 crore bonus for the Sheller Association in 2024-25, Rs 26 crore in assistance for small and micro industries under the Atmanirbhar Textile Policy, the establishment of a GST center in Rewari at a cost of Rs 29 crore, and a Start Up Facilitation Center in Gurugram to support startups. Additionally, he informed that a One Time Settlement Scheme was approved to provide relief to traders with pending tax cases, benefiting 200,000 traders.
During the program, CM Nayab Singh Saini birthday was celebrated, and he was honored by the attendees. Union Minister Piyush Goyal, also present at the event, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts to uplift industry and traders, stating that India’s reputation has risen globally under his leadership, with 19 countries awarding him their highest honors. Goyal acknowledged the significant contributions of the Agrawal community to the country’s development and social work. He also praised CM Saini’s leadership, noting that Haryana has reached new heights under his guidance, calling him a person of great character.
The event was also attended by former Minister Aseem Goel, Subhash Sudha, officials from the Delhi Haryana Agrawal Maitri Sabha, and other distinguished guests.
