CM Nayab Singh Saini : Nation and State Have Seen Rapid Progress Under Prime Minister’s Leadership Over the Past Decade
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini announced that he will address the budget discussion in the House on March 27, assuring that every question raised by the opposition will be answered. He urged opposition members to attend the session and listen to his statement.
Speaking to the media after the budget session in the Vidhan Sabha, the Chief Minister criticized the opposition for attempting to mislead the House regarding the 2025-26 budget, calling their claims baseless. He clarified that the state’s outstanding debt remains at 6.67% of the prescribed limit, the same level as in 2014-15.
Responding to the Congress’s remarks about the “non-stop” government being a “full stop,” he stated that the people have already put a full stop to Congress in the civic elections. He further emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the government is advancing at three times the previous pace.
Highlighting a decade of rapid progress under PM Modi’s leadership, the Chief Minister pointed to major developments, including an extensive road network, medical colleges in every district, girls’ colleges within a 20-km radius, and increased hospital capacities. He also mentioned the successful implementation of clean tap water supply to every household, contrasting it with past struggles when women had to fetch water from long distances.
CM Nayab Singh Saini reiterated the government’s commitment to providing 24-hour electricity, stating that around 5,600 villages currently enjoy uninterrupted power supply. He reaffirmed PM Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047 and assured that Haryana would contribute to this goal.
Regarding the reopening of the Shambhu and Khanauri borders in Punjab, he acknowledged the ongoing farmers’ protests and stated that the central government is in continuous discussions with the farmers to address their concerns while ensuring minimal public inconvenience.
When asked about the swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected Mayors and councilors, the Chief Minister confirmed that it would take place in Panchkula.
Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, K. Makrand Pandurang, and Media Secretary Praveen Attrey were also present on the occasion.
