The women associated with the Chief Minister Solar Self-Employment Scheme will be given the name Solar Sakhi. Training will be given to the people in every district for the maintenance of solar plants. CM Pushkar interacted with the developers of Mukhyamantri Solar Swarozgar Yojana as part of the Mukhyamantri Sevak Samvad. Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Mukhyamantri Sevak Samvad programme with the developers of Mukhyamantri Solar Swarozgar Yojana at Mukhyamantri Sevak Sadan in the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday. On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced that women associated with the Mukhyamantri Solar Swarojgar Yojana would be named as Solar Sakhi.
Special camps will be organised in the development blocks to promote the Chief Minister Solar Self-Employment Scheme and other schemes related to self-employment on a large scale. Training will be given to the people in every district for the maintenance of solar plants. CM Pushkar said that under this scheme, the target of 250 MW has been completed in the state. Work on this project is in progress. The source of solar energy is unlimited as well as environment friendly. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is making continuous efforts to promote the use of solar energy in a big way through various schemes. Along with schemes like Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, PM KUSUM, the formation of International Solar Alliance under the leadership of India is playing an important role in increasing the use of solar energy.
The Prime Minister has set a target of generating 500 GW of electricity through solar energy by 2030. He has also set a target to make the country carbon neutral by 2070. The Chief Minister said that a new solar energy policy has also been implemented to promote solar energy in the state. It has set a target of 2500 MW solar capacity by 2027. Special subsidy is being provided to promote rooftop solar plants in the state. Subsidy is also being given to the beneficiaries for installation of solar power plants through PM Suryaghar Yojana. Under the , 20 to 50 per cent subsidy is being given for setting up projects ranging from 20 to 200 KW. An additional grant of 5% is also being given to women, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes as well as Divyangjans. Under the scheme, a subsidy of 4% is being given on the loan for setting up the plant. Guarantee of power purchase has also been ensured by UPCL by entering into a contract of 25 years through Power Purchase Agreement. To make the entire process transparent and technically sound, the arrangements from application to allotment have been made simple, accessible and efficient through the online portal. He said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country was firmly on the path to progress.
