On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually addressed the Akhand Ramayana recitation held at Maa Kokila Kothagyadi Temple in Pankhu, Pithoragarh from the Chief Minister’s residence. He greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Ram Navami and prayed to Lord Shri Ram for the happiness and prosperity of Uttarakhand.
In his address,CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Ramayana is not just a religious text, but a guiding text reflecting the ideals of life. It is a symbol of dignity, devotion, sacrifice and dharma. “Shri Ram’s life teaches us how to follow dharma and maryada even in difficult circumstances. Characters like the purity of Mother Sita, the spirit of service of Lakshman, the sacrifice of Bharat and the unwavering devotion of Hanuman ji are a source of inspiration for us.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this time the festival of Ram Navami is even more special as after a long wait of 500 years, Shri Ram Lalla is celebrating this festival by sitting in the grand temple of Ayodhya. Appreciating the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he said that it was due to his unflinching resolve and untiring hard work that a grand temple of Lord Shri Ram could be built in Ayodhya.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami called upon all the people of the state to imbibe the ideals of Shri Ram in their lives and create an atmosphere of honesty, service, love and harmony in the society.
