Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Shri Kedarnath Dham Rawal, Shri Shri Shri 1008 Bhimashankar Ling, on Thursday to discuss the upcoming pilgrimage season and review preparations for devotees. During the meeting, the Rawal offered blessings to the Chief Minister and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of Uttarakhand.

CM Dhami welcomed the Rawal and shared updates on the ongoing reconstruction and development work at Kedarnath Dham. He stated that the state government is continuously working to strengthen facilities, safety measures, and overall arrangements to ensure a smooth and organized pilgrimage. The discussion highlighted strategies to manage the growing number of devotees efficiently during the yatra season.

He emphasised that recent unfortunate incidents require strict preventive measures and that the police are taking action to ensure they do not recur.

Explaining the operation, he said, “The Police Department has launched Operation Prahaar, under which criminals, gangsters, and professional offenders are being apprehended,” showing the government’s focus on organised crime. CM Dhami also stressed student safety, stating that Dehradun hosts thousands of students from across India and the world, and hostels are being thoroughly inspected. Operators are required to cooperate fully in this preventive effort.

Highlighting zero-tolerance, CM Dhami added, “All past records are being scrutinized, investigations intensified, and night patrolling is regularised. Strict action will be maintained,” reflecting the state’s strong governance and accountability.
