Along with this, the Chief Minister also flagged off 2 publicity vehicles on the Chardham Yatra route with an aim to increase public awareness towards road safety. Congratulating the newly selected candidates who received the appointment letters, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this success is not only the result of the hard work, discipline and determination of the selected youth, but also the support, sacrifice and blessings of their family members play an important role in this. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the post of Transport Guard is very important in the Transport Department, whether it is the smooth operation of passenger services, monitoring of road safety, the process of vehicle registration or pollution control, they have an important role in every system. Therefore, your job is not only a government job but also a social responsibility.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that I expect from the newly appointed Transport Reserves that you will not only maintain dutifulness and discipline at your workplace, but also work in the spirit of dialogue and cooperation with the general public. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Transport Department is committed to provide smooth and safe services in the state. But we all know that as the number of vehicles has increased in the state, the number of road accidents has also increased alarmingly. Therefore, to prevent accidents in the state, we have implemented the “New Uttarakhand Road Safety Policy 2025” in February 2025. Under this policy, a target has been set to reduce the death rate in road accidents by 50 percent by 2030 by fixing the responsibilities of all the concerned departments. I am confident that all of you will support us in achieving this goal with full devotion and dedication.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that it is the resolve of our government that the qualified, hard-working and talented youth of the state should get equal opportunities based on their abilities in a transparent manner. Recruitment and promotion done in a transparent manner instills confidence in the youth. This transparency motivates them to compete in a better way, our government is constantly working in this direction. To remove the stigma attached to the recruitment processes of the previous governments, we have implemented the countrys most stringent anti-copying law in the state. After the implementation of this law, all the examinations in the state are being conducted smoothly in a transparent manner, as a result of which we have been able to provide government jobs to more than 23 thousand youth in the last three years.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that along with nepotism in jobs, corruption was also at its peak in the previous governments. We are working under the policy of “Zero Tolerance” to root out this termite of corruption in the state. As a result, in the last three years, we have brought more than 200 people involved in corruption behind bars and our campaign continues.
