CM Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Coronation Hospital to enquire about the health of those suffering from food poisoning. In Dehradun district more than 100 people fell ill due to food poisoning. According to preliminary information, the possibility of adulteration in the Kuttu flour supplied from Saharanpur led to the deterioration of the health of the people.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami interacted with the patients admitted in the hospital and wished them a speedy recovery. He directed the District Magistrate Dehradun and officials of the Health Department to provide proper treatment to the people admitted in the hospitals. The number of beds in hospitals should be increased, he said. There are 66 patients in Coronation Hospital and 44 in Doon Medical College due to food poisoning. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the Health Department and the District Magistrate Dehradun to make full arrangements for the treatment of all the patients coming to the hospitals. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the shop for which Kuttu flour has been supplied from has been sealed. The shops for which Kuttu flour has been supplied from that shop have also been informed. The district administration of Saharanpur has also been informed about this by the Dehradun district administration.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that all arrangements have been made for the treatment of the patients. He said that the Health Secretary has been instructed to investigate the entire matter and take strict action against the culprits. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Health Department, Food Safety Department and other concerned departments will jointly conduct a thorough investigation into the incident so that such an incident does not recur. Action will be taken against anyone who has done wrong.
