The program organised in Latu is not just a religious event, but it is a symbol of faith, tradition and unity. Chief Minister also congratulated the valour of the Indian Army during the darshan at Latu Dham. On this occasion, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Latu Dham and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the country and the state. He welcomed and congratulated all the devotees who reached Latu Dham on the occasion of the opening of the portals.
After offering prayers at the Latu temple, the Chief Minister started the meeting by chanting the hymns of Maa Nanda and the Latu deity. He also complimented the Indian Army for the action taken by them after the Pahalgam attack. He said that Uttarakhand has many important religious places like Tungnath, Rudranath, Jageshwar, Adi Kailash Adibadri along with Char Dham. Along with this, the small temples of the state preserve the cultural traditions of the state. Appreciating the historical, social and cultural importance of Latu Dham, the Chief Minister said that this temple is a symbol of our thousands of years old tradition, today’s event is not just a religious event but it is a symbol of faith, tradition and unity. He said that the tradition of blindfolded darshan in the temple of Latu Dham shows that faith is not only from the eyes but from the heart. “We want to make Uttarakhand the spiritual capital of not only India but the whole world, for which the government is reviving the mythological temples, identifying and preserving the cultural heritage as well as developing facilities around the temples,” he said. The Chief Minister said that the Chardham Yatra is currently being conducted. Which is very important for the Sanatan followers of Deshdunia.
He said that the Uttarakhand government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is committed to keep the Char Dham Yatra safe and smooth, for which our government is providing all-weather roads, medical facilities, heli service in times of emergency, so that no inconvenience is caused to any pilgrim visiting the Char Dham Yatra. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that while all weather roads have been constructed for the development of the state, the construction work of RishikeshKarnprayag railway line is also being done at a rapid pace, along with the master plan work in Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham to provide passenger facilities in the dhamas.
The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand government is taking tough decisions in the public interest, adding that we had promised the people of the state to implement the Uniform Civil Code, which the government has fulfilled. Along with this, anti-conversion law, anti-riot law and strict land laws have been brought in the state to crack down on the land mafia. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami assured to work on a plan for the development of Latu Dham, construction of a sub-district hospital in Kulsari, flood protection work and helipad construction. He also spoke about the planned work to develop roads as well as parking and passenger facilities for the upcoming Maa Nanda Devi Rajjat Yatra to be held in 2026.
The Chief Minister directed the district administration to carry out the work related to the organisation of Maa Nanda Devi Rajjat Yatra in a planned and time-bound manner. He said that continuous monitoring is being done at all levels regarding the works of Rajjat Yatra. With the cooperation of all, the upcoming Rajjat Yatra to be held in 2026 will be organised in a grand and divine form.
