Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Udham Singh Nagar on Saturday to personally hear public grievances and instructed officials to ensure their prompt resolution during his one-day visit to the district.
Earlier this week, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a program at Letibunga Maidan, Gram Panchayat Shashbani, Nainital, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 17 development projects worth Rs 112.34 crore. During the event, he also visited stalls set up by women’s self-help groups and government departments, appreciating the locally produced items.
Bhimtal MLA Ram Singh Kaida welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for approving multiple development initiatives in the constituency, while providing updates on ongoing projects.
New Infrastructure and Development Initiatives
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the construction of mini-stadiums in several villages of Bhimtal, including Bheerapani, Nai, Dalkanya, Devnagar, Silaoti, and Sundarkhal. Key road projects include upgrading Karayal Band-Takura Forest Outpost Road to blacktop, connecting Naukuchiatal-Kharki Kharaula Road, and completing blacktopping on Kasiyalekh-Kafli-Padikanala Road. The Badon-Simaliya-Sanni motor road will also be linked to improve regional connectivity.

Focus on Holistic Development and Cultural Revival
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted that the government is committed to the holistic development of Bhimtal and the entire Nainital district. Significant funds, around Rs 9.5 crore, have been sanctioned for the reconstruction of the deteriorating Route-10.
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is witnessing rapid infrastructure growth in roads, healthcare, education, and drinking water projects. Redevelopment of major religious sites such as Kainchi Dham, Naina Devi Temple, and Mukteshwar Dham is being executed in a mission-mode approach.
Government initiatives such as ‘One District-Two Products,’ ‘House of Himalayas,’ ‘State Millet Mission,’ ‘Homestay,’ and ‘Wed in Uttarakhand’ are boosting the local economy, reducing migration from hilly areas. The latest Migration Commission report indicates a 44% rise in reverse migration and a 4.4% reduction in unemployment, positioning Uttarakhand at the top in the NITI Aayog SDG Index.
Education, Employment, and Anti-Corruption Measures
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized the state’s strict anti-cheating laws in schools, which have helped over 26,000 youth secure government jobs, while more than 100 members of cheating rackets have been jailed. Additionally, over 200 government personnel faced action under the zero-tolerance policy on corruption.
This visit highlights CM Dhami’s proactive approach toward addressing public grievances, accelerating infrastructure projects, and promoting inclusive development across Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital districts.
