CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Reviews Security Preparedness Post Virtual Meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah Dehradun Following participation in a virtual meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami held a highlevel review meeting with senior officials at the CM residence today. In view of the prevailing international border situations, the Chief Minister directed for strengthened security arrangements across the state, especially concerning the ongoing Char Dham Yatra, strategically important establishments, dams, and energy plants.
The Chief Minister instructed the administration, police, and related departments to remain on high alert. He emphasized that robust surveillance and security measures be implemented in all border areas of the state, with close monitoring of any suspicious activity in the frontier regions. Highlighting the ongoing Char Dham Yatra and the influx of lakhs of pilgrims, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami stressed the need for heightened security across all pilgrimage routes and at all four holy shrines. He also underlined the importance of securing nationally significant institutions located in the state and instructed for necessary actions in this regard. Further, the Chief Minister directed that arrangements for the uninterrupted supply of food and essential goods be ensured at the district and tehsil levels to deal with any potential emergency. Hospitals must remain on alert, with adequate supplies of emergency medicines. Civil defense teams and voluntary organizations are to be trained and kept ready for rescue and relief operations.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami urged officials to disseminate only accurate and verified information to the public to avoid panic and curb the spread of misinformation. He called for strict action against those spreading rumors and instructed for continuous monitoring of social media platforms. In light of the current situation, the Chief Minister directed that government personnel not be granted leave unless absolutely necessary. All District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police have been instructed to review and strengthen the security arrangements in their respective jurisdictions. Appealing for public cooperation in maintaining peace and order, CM Dhami assured that the state government is fully prepared to provide all necessary support. He also expressed his gratitude to Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for providing additional Central security forces for the Char Dham Yatra. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan, Additional Chief Secretary Shri R.K. Sudhanshu, Home Secretary Shri Shailesh Bagauli, DGP Shri Deepam Seth and Shri V.K. Suman.
