Uttarakhand will implement the country’s first yoga policy,CM Pushkar Singh Dhami gave this information at the 10th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo 2024.Requested the Central Government to open All India Ayurveda Institute in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State Government is working towards implementing the country’s ‘First Yoga Policy’.Yoga Policy will play an important role in bringing a new revolution in the field of health by bringing Ayurveda and Yoga together on a large scale. Addressing the 10th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo 2024 held at Parade Ground on Thursday.Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for organizing this event in Dehradun, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that it is a matter of pride for us that representatives of more than 50 countries and more than 6000 people are participating in this program being organized in our state. Experts are participating.More than 250 stalls set up in the expo are proving the global acceptance of Ayurveda.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this conference will promote mutual knowledge sharing and various research works in the field of Ayurveda as well as new opportunities for cooperation and business.Giving information about the work being done by the state government in the field of AYUSH, he said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is also continuously working for the promotion of Ayurveda in the state.At present 300 AYUSH based ‘Ayushman Health Centres’ are operating in our state. AYUSH consultation is being provided by more than 70 experts through the eSanjeevani portal.Now AYUSH hospitals with 50 beds and 10 beds are being established in every district. Apart from this, the government is trying to promote the production of Ayurvedic herbs by establishing one village in each district as a model AYUSH village.
CM Pushkar Singh said that the state government has implemented ‘Uttarakhand AYUSH Policy’ to give impetus to AYUSH manufacturing, wellness, education, research and production of medicinal plantsAlong with this, the state government is working with commitment to start AYUSH teleconsultation as well as establish 50 new yoga and wellness centers in the coming years.Proposal for All India Institute of Ayurveda in Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the State Government has requested the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India for the establishment of All India Institute of Ayurveda in Uttarakhand, This institute will prove to be a milestone in the field of Ayurveda education and research. Calling upon the experts, the Chief Minister said that along with the Hindi names of our herbs, the English names should also be publicized. This will make it easier for local herbs to reach the global market.
The Chief Minister said that we know ‘Kilmoda’ in the mountains but most of the people do not know its English name ‘Beriberis’ whereas the whole world knows this name and medicines are made from it. Therefore the English name should also be promoted. Uttarakhand is the wisdom land of Ayurveda. The Chief Minister said that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand has been the wisdom land of Ayurveda and medicinal wealth since ancient times.Medicinal herbs found in our state have played an important role in establishing Ayurveda as the basic element of health. He said that Ayurveda is a unique medical system of the world which has been ensuring the health of human civilization since ancient times.Ayurveda is not limited to mere herbs and medicines but Ayurveda is a special art of living. It tells us about the right lifestyle, its aim is not only to cure diseases but its ultimate goal is to prevent the disease from occurring.
CM Pushkar Singh said that various programs like ‘National AYUSH Mission’ and ‘Nature Test Campaign’ run by the Central Government are today playing an important role in establishing health from cities to villages.After formally inaugurating the expo, the Chief Minister also inspected the stalls. Ayurvedic medicines will be available under one roof, Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Shri Pratap Rao Jadhav said.Said that due to the initiatives taken in the field of AYUSH during the last ten years under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the manufacturing of AYUSH products has increased eight times. Now AYUSH and herbal products are being exported to more than 150 countries of the world.
CM Pushkar Singh said that Ayurveda is also moving forward by adopting technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools. Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Pratap Rao Jadhav said that people in India generally prefer treatment with Ayurveda, But even in villages, doctors mostly recommend allopathic medicines. This probably happens because not only are Ayurveda medicines available in less quantity, but it is almost difficult to get all the medicines for all the diseases at one placeTherefore, the Central Government is trying to establish AYUSH Medicine Centers to provide all Ayurvedic medicines under one roof at all district, tehsil and village levels, The first such center has been started in All India Institute of Ayurveda, Delhi. With the opening of such centers across the country, AYUSH doctors will be able to easily prescribe medicines in consultation.
CM Pushkar Singh said that the World Ayurveda Congress will prove to be a confluence of new ideas, ancient culture and innovations. The Union Minister said that during this four-day long event, thousands of people from the surrounding areas will visit the stalls here.The event also provides a platform for business opportunities. He said that to promote Ayurveda, the Central Government has started the Nature Testing Campaign across the country from October 29, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary in the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, said that organizing the World Ayurveda Conference not only helps in making the AYUSH system recognized at the global level,Besides, the growth of this sector also increases around the event area. Describing Uttarakhand as the ideal state for this event, he said that many herbs mentioned in Ayurveda books are found in the Himalayas. PM Narendra Modi sent the message. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi read the message sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the conference. The inaugural session was inaugurated by Dr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, National Organizing Secretary, Vigyan Bharti, Vaidya PM Warrier, Chairperson of the 10th World Ayurveda Congress, Secretary AYUSH Ravinath Raman in Uttarakhand Government also addressed.
