CM Yogi Adityanath visits Yahiyaganj Gurudwara in Lucknow, says wherever Guru’s feet touch, that land becomes as holy as Ram Rajya.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended a grand ceremony at the Yahiyaganj Gurudwara in Lucknow on Monday, where he said that “wherever the sacred feet of the Guru touch, that land becomes as pure and divine as Ram Rajya.”
The Chief Minister was speaking during the arrival of the “Charan Suhave Guru Charan Yatra”, a sacred journey associated with Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur. The procession carries the revered Joora Sahib, which holds immense spiritual importance in Sikh tradition.
‘Guru’s Blessings Make the Land Sacred’
Quoting the Sikh tradition, CM Yogi said, “Our scriptures say — ‘Jithe jaye bahe mera Satguru, so than suhaava Ram raje,’ meaning wherever the Guru’s feet rest, that place becomes as pious as the land of Ram Rajya.”
He added that this sacred journey connects devotees with the glorious Guru Parampara (Guru tradition), which has guided India’s culture, courage, and spirit of sacrifice for centuries.
During the event, CM Yogi listened to Gurbani and felicitated the members of the Yatra by offering them traditional patkas (scarves). The Gurudwara committee honored the Chief Minister by presenting him with a shawl and a memento. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri also attended the ceremony.
‘A Journey of Sacrifice, Devotion, and National Dedication’
Expressing gratitude to Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri for his presence, the Chief Minister said that this sacred journey began to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Maharaj.
“This is not just a journey of faith, but a pilgrimage of sacrifice, devotion, and dedication to the nation,” Yogi Adityanath said.
He added that the Sikh Gurus’ contributions to India’s Sanatan tradition are unforgettable. “From Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and his four Sahibzadas, their sacrifice to protect dharma, the nation, and humanity is an everlasting inspiration in Indian history,” he said.
Yahiyaganj Gurudwara — A Symbol of National Unity and Shared Faith
Highlighting the historical importance of the Yahiyaganj Gurudwara, CM Yogi said that the holy relics — the Guru’s sacred footwear (charan padukas) — which were once located in Pakistan, are now being enshrined at Patna Sahib.
“The journey that began from Delhi is spreading the message of respect and pride for the Guru tradition across the country. Yahiyaganj Gurudwara is special because it is connected with the memories of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji. It stands as a symbol of our shared faith and national unity,” he added.
‘Guru Tradition Is a Guiding Light for the Future’
Expressing deep respect for the Sikh community, CM Yogi said the Guru tradition not only represents faith and devotion, but also the ideals of service, courage, and national protection.
“Our responsibility is to preserve this invaluable heritage and pass on its inspiration to future generations. The Guru Charan Yatra is not merely a remembrance of the past, but a guiding light for the present and the future,” he said.
The Chief Minister urged devotees to carry forward the message of national unity and spiritual awakening through this sacred journey, emphasizing that it reflects India’s timeless values of harmony and devotion.
