Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary Suspend
Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary: Following his remarks disparaging the party’s Jalandhar candidate and former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Phillaur MLA Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary was suspended.
Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary, a Phillaur MLA, was suspended by the Congress on Wednesday for allegedly engaging in anti-party actions. Following his remarks disparaging the party’s Jalandhar candidate and outgoing chief minister, Charanjit Singh Channi, Chaudhary was suspended. The Jalandhar-based Phillaur MLA had been against Channi’s candidacy.
On April 20, his mother Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary, who had run unsuccessfully for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat the previous year, became a member of the BJP. Your careless remarks that go against the party line are not worthy of the respect you have for your post. According to Congress in-charge of Punjab affairs Devender Yadav, this is the reason why the party’s reputation is being damaged and the public and Congressmen are receiving the wrong message.
You have received multiple warnings on your behavior, but you still engage in anti-party acts. He said, “Therefore, you are hereby removed from all party positions held by you and suspended from the party until further orders” until further action in the subject takes place. ‘Shakuni’ was Chaudhary’s moniker for Channi. He claimed that the people of Jalandhar will punish Channi for his betrayal by ejecting him from the constituency, just as “Lord Krishna” punished “Shakuni” and his group.
RAJA WARRING SAYS, WILL LEAVE POLITICS IF THE AAP SECURES ALL 13 SEATS IN PUNJAB
Earlier, Channi had declared that he was traveling to Jalandhar in the guise of “Sudama” and had implored the Doaba region’s residents to care for him in the same way as “Lord Krishna.” In the Punjab assembly elections of 2022, Chaudhary had even mentioned the former chief minister’s electoral losses from the Chamkaur Sahib and Bhadaur seats. Son of the late Congress MP Santokh Chaudhary, Chaudhary had already submitted his resignation from the Punjab Vidhan Sabha as the party’s chief whip.
Polling for 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab will take place on June 1.
