In a major boost to cattle welfare and rural development, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has released financial assistance under the Cow Shelter Feed Grant scheme for gaushalas in Kurukshetra. The initiative aims to strengthen cow protection and improve the management of cattle shelters across the state.
During a special distribution ceremony held in Kurukshetra, the Chief Minister provided ₹70.24 lakh under the Cow Shelter Feed Grant to 11 gaushalas in the Ladwa and Thanesar regions. The funds are intended to ensure adequate fodder supply and better care for cattle housed in these shelters.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the government is continuously working to strengthen gaushalas through the Cow Shelter Feed Grant initiative. He stated that the financial assistance plays a crucial role in ensuring proper maintenance, nutrition, and care of cows.
According to official data, under the Cow Shelter Feed Grant, a total of ₹228.58 crore has already been disbursed to 619 gaushalas across Haryana during the financial year 2025–26.
