Delhi CM Rekha Gupta engages with citizens after listening to PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’, highlighting major development plans, affordable meal schemes, healthcare upgrades, and cultural initiatives across the city.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized that the Delhi government is fully committed to uplifting common citizens and improving the living conditions in urban settlements. She stated that the government is working with a clear vision to enhance the quality of life for every resident by ensuring equal opportunities and implementing people-centric development policies. Chief Minister Gupta highlighted that significant efforts are underway to upgrade infrastructure in colonies and settlements to provide citizens with a dignified and improved lifestyle.
During a gathering in the Lalbagh area of Model Town, CM Rekha Gupta listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program along with local residents and BJP workers. Addressing the attendees, she said that the Delhi government is moving ahead on the developmental path laid down by Prime Minister Modi. She reiterated the Prime Minister’s message that the purpose of power is not enjoyment, but service.
Focus on Real Development in Settlements
CM Gupta stressed that, for the first time, the government is prioritizing genuine development in settlements and middle-class neighborhoods. She expressed concern that earlier, funds were largely spent on upscale colonies, while densely populated areas remained neglected.
Nutritious Meals at Just ₹5
Highlighting welfare initiatives, she said the Delhi government is providing nutritious meals for just ₹5 through the Atal Canteen. Additionally, Arogya Mandirs have been established across the city, offering affordable and improved healthcare services to the common people.
CM Gupta noted that during the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode, PM Modi shared several inspiring examples of community-driven social efforts, public awareness campaigns, and initiatives linked to national interest from across the country.

Views on Ram Temple and Cultural Initiatives
She added that the Prime Minister also shared key thoughts on the grand Ram Temple, the hoisting of the Dharma Dhwaja, Constitution Day, the inauguration of the Panchjanya Memorial in Kurukshetra, natural farming, the Kashi Tamil Sangamam, Vocal for Local campaigns, and the growing winter tourism in Uttarakhand.

According to CM Rekha Gupta, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is not just a communication program but a powerful medium of nation-building driven by public participation. The event witnessed the presence of BJP MLA Ashok Goel Devratha, Councilors Sushil Jonty and Renu Agrawal, Mandal President Sunny Jedia, along with Abhishek Gupta, Shefali Manchanda, and a large number of residents and BJP workers.
