Delhi CM Rekha Gupta attends the Shakti Samvad programme organised by the National Commission for Women, highlights women-led development, digital safety awareness, and empowerment initiatives.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in the “Shakti Samvad” capacity-building programme organized by the National Commission for Women, alongside Commission Chairperson Mrs. Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar. The event focused on strengthening leadership, safety awareness, and empowerment among women across the country.
During the programme, the book titled “Safarnama” was officially launched. The Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also felicitated the winners of the Stay Safe Online poster-making competition, encouraging digital awareness and responsible online behavior among young participants.
Addressing the gathering, CM Rekha Gupta credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for redefining the role of women in India’s growth story. She emphasized that Women-Led Development has become a strong pillar of national progress, with women emerging not just as beneficiaries but as decision-makers, innovators, and leaders.

She further stated that Delhi is committed to advancing this vision by ensuring a safer environment, improved public facilities, and wider opportunities for women to grow professionally and socially. According to her, empowering young girls with confidence and equal access to resources remains a top priority for the state government.
Commending the National Commission for Women, the Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of representatives from various State Women Commissions who are actively working at the grassroots level to implement policies, amplify women’s voices, ensure justice, and promote inclusive development.
The programme reinforced the importance of collaborative efforts in building a secure, empowered, and progressive society for women across India.
