Delhi CM Rekha Gupta conducts surprise inspections in Tehkhand and Tughlakabad, targeting garbage management, waste-processing facilities, and veterinary services to ensure cleanliness and animal welfare.
In a decisive move to strengthen Delhi’s sanitation and public service systems, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta carried out surprise inspections across Tehkhand and Tughlakabad, focusing on Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs), proposed waste-processing facilities, and the Rajesh Pilot Veterinary Hospital.
During the visits, CM Gupta emphasized that delays and administrative laxity would not be tolerated. She instructed officials to expedite ongoing projects and implement stricter monitoring mechanisms to improve cleanliness and service delivery in the city.

Surprise Check in Tughlakabad

Focus on Veterinary Services
The Chief Minister also conducted an unannounced inspection at the Rajesh Pilot Veterinary Hospital. The visit highlighted gaps in hygiene, maintenance, and service delivery. Gupta directed hospital authorities to ensure systematic cleanliness, timely repairs, and proper upkeep of infrastructure. Medical staff were asked to enhance the quality and availability of veterinary care so that livestock owners and residents do not have to travel long distances for treatment.
“Animal welfare remains a priority for the Delhi government. Any negligence in veterinary services directly impacts public health and local livelihoods,” CM Gupta stated.
Officials confirmed that more such surprise inspections will be conducted across the city in the coming days to maintain strict accountability and ensure high standards of sanitation and public service.
