According to sources, the Delhi government may announce the addition of 500 new e-buses to strengthen the city’s public transport system. Other ambitious plans regarding education, healthcare, infrastructure, and urban facilities are also expected to be revealed. The government aims to focus on environmentally friendly transportation, reducing traffic congestion, and easing pollution. The 2025 Delhi Assembly election results were announced on 8 February, exactly one year ago. To commemorate this, the BJP has intensified preparations to ensure maximum public participation in the event. Each cabinet minister has been assigned responsibilities for specific constituencies to engage citizens at the local level. Simultaneously, events will be conducted across all 70 assembly constituencies in Delhi, enabling the government to share its achievements, policies, and upcoming initiatives directly with the public and collect feedback.
BJP’s Electoral Victory in Delhi
One year ago, in a historic comeback, the BJP defeated the Aam Aadmi Party to secure a full majority in the Delhi Assembly. Out of 70 seats, the BJP won 48 seats, while the AAP’s tally fell from 62 to 22 seats. Ahead of the 8 February celebration, the BJP’s Delhi legislative team is holding an important meeting at Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s residence to finalize the strategy and blueprint for the anniversary event.
The Ramlila Maidan program is expected to showcase the government’s one-year accomplishments and highlight its vision for the future development of Delhi, while giving citizens a chance to engage with the administration directly.
