Deputy CM Diya Kumari was given a presentation for the conservation of museums of Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Chittorgarh, Alwar, Bharatpur, Mount Abu and Ahar in the presence of Chairman of Rajasthan Heritage Authority Onkar Singh Lakhawat on Wednesday at Paryatan Bhawan.
Deputy CM Diya Kumari said that the museums have priceless artefacts.Their protection is very important.He directed to prepare digital data of artefacts for this purpose.He also directed to install cameras in museums.
Deputy CM Diya Kumari directed the to form a team of experts and get the development work of museum conservation done on the basis of their opinion.He also directed that impractical renovation should not be done without thinking.
Giving the example of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of conservation of museums, Deputy CM Diya Kumari said that he has got grand development works of conservation of museums done in Gujarat and Delhi which is exemplary.He directed the officials to take up museum conservation work in Rajasthan on the same lines.He directed to send a proposal for grant to the Central Government for the renovation of 5-7 iconic museums of Rajasthan.
Deputy CM Diya Kumari directed to develop basic facilities including signage, toilets at the museum.In the presentation, the renovation of the said museums was proposed to be done after 35 years.
A point-wise presentation for implementation of Budget announcements of Rajasthan Heritage Authority was made before Deputy CM Diya Kumari on the occasion.
