Elon Musk
Elon Musk statement comes after his earlier, almost a week ago, announcement regarding the upcoming change.
Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur behind X (previously Twitter), revealed plans for a big adjustment to the platform’s recommendation mechanism. Musk declared that shortly, a pinned post by a user will be made accessible to all of their followers.
In an explanation tweet on Thursday, Musk stated that in order to stop “gaming of the system,” or manipulating or taking advantage of a system, the new measure will be applied to “one pinned post” roughly every 48 hours.
Our recommendation algorithm is about to undergo a modification that will guarantee that your pinned posts are seen by every follower.
Although the exact date of the algorithmic adjustment is still unknown, Elon Musk made his announcement a week or so after he first announced that it would happen.
In a different development, Musk alluded to a possible rival to Google’s hegemony in the email service market. Musk revealed the next product called Xmail in a talk about X. Musk said that Xmail will be easily incorporated into the X app, despite the lack of information regarding its features and anticipated release date.

When X engineer Nate posed the question, “When are we making Xmail?” the information was made public. The casual comment from Musk, “It’s coming,” caused a stir on the site very soon.
Xmail quickly gained popularity after Musk’s remark, with over 15,000 posts discussing the announcement. People shared memes and thoughts about Musk’s most recent endeavor in response, displaying a mixture of curiosity and excitement.
Musk has a history of taking on large-scale initiatives and making big changes since purchasing X, but going up against Gmail—which will have over 1.8 billion users by 2024—would be extremely difficult.
