Gold and silver prices fall on 6 June 2026. Check latest city-wise rates and market updates amid global uncertainty and weak bullion trends.
Gold and silver prices in India continue their downward trend amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and global economic uncertainty. On Saturday, 6 June 2026, commodity markets remained closed, so prices are being considered based on Friday’s closing levels. Despite this, weakness in the bullion market remains clearly visible.
Gold Prices See Sharp Decline
Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) witnessed a significant drop. The July 3, 2026 gold contract fell by around 6.27%, closing at ₹2,64,796.
Since MCX remains closed on weekends, this level is currently being used as a reference price in the market.
According to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), gold was priced at approximately ₹1,54,238 per 10 grams at Friday’s close, confirming the overall downward pressure.
In the international market, spot gold is trading around $4,470.79 per ounce. Investors remain cautious due to ongoing geopolitical tensions, particularly in West Asia, along with expectations of prolonged high interest rates, which continue to weigh on precious metals.
Silver Prices Also Under Pressure
Silver prices are also witnessing volatility and a downward trend. Industrial demand fluctuations and global cues are contributing to continued weakness in the white metal.
In domestic markets, silver prices have shown consistent declines, reflecting broader weakness in the bullion segment.
