Gold and silver prices fall again on June 30 in global and Indian markets. Check latest city-wise gold and silver rates across India.
Gold and silver prices witnessed another sharp decline on June 30, the second trading day of the week, as both global and domestic markets came under pressure. The weakness in precious metals has been largely attributed to a strong US dollar and rising expectations of higher interest rates, which have reduced investor demand for safe-haven assets.
In the international Comex market, gold dropped by around 1.29 percent, losing nearly $52.10 to settle near $3,990 per ounce. Silver also saw a steep fall of more than 1.55 percent, reflecting broader weakness in the global bullion space.
In the domestic futures market, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) also opened on a weaker note. Gold prices declined by approximately ₹1,564, trading around ₹1,40,450 per 10 grams. Silver followed the same trend, slipping by ₹1,546 to trade near ₹2,20,247 per kilogram.

In major Indian cities, gold rates remained under pressure. In markets like Delhi and Mumbai, 24-carat gold is trading close to ₹1.41 lakh per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is hovering around ₹1.29 lakh per 10 grams. Silver prices are also subdued, ranging between ₹2.20 lakh and ₹2.22 lakh per kilogram across major cities.
City-wise data shows that in New Delhi, 24K gold is priced around ₹1,40,750 per 10 grams, while Mumbai records ₹1,41,110. In Patna, the rate stands at ₹1,41,030, Jaipur at ₹1,41,090, and Kanpur at approximately ₹1,41,140 per 10 grams. Silver prices across these cities remain in a similar range of ₹2.20–₹2.21 lakh per kilogram.
Market analysts suggest that June has been a weak month for precious metals, with gold and silver both experiencing frequent volatility and downward pressure. The primary reasons include global economic uncertainty, a strengthening dollar, and expectations of continued interest rate hikes, prompting investors to move away from bullion assets.
Overall, the ongoing correction in gold and silver prices indicates cautious sentiment in the market, with future trends likely to depend on global economic signals and central bank policy decisions.
