Gold Silver Price Today: The Indian bullion market witnessed a sharp rally on 13 May 2026 as both gold and silver prices surged significantly on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), triggering strong reactions from investors and traders across the country.
Strong Rally in MCX Gold Prices
Gold contracts on MCX opened on a bullish note today. The June 2026 gold contract started at around ₹1,54,851 per 10 grams, compared to the previous close of ₹1,53,442. During early trade, prices surged to a high of ₹1,64,497, marking a jump of more than ₹11,000 in a single session.
At the time of reporting, gold was trading around ₹1,62,100, still reflecting a strong gain of nearly ₹8,600. Market analysts suggest that global uncertainty, fluctuating dollar strength, and increased safe-haven demand are driving this sharp upward momentum in gold prices.
Silver Prices Witness Record-Breaking Jump
Silver also followed a similar bullish trend on MCX. The July 2026 silver contract opened at ₹2,90,224 per kilogram, compared to the previous close of ₹2,79,062. The metal surged to an intraday high of ₹3,01,429, gaining more than ₹22,000 in a single trading session.
Currently, silver is trading around ₹2,95,000 per kilogram, still maintaining strong upward momentum. Experts believe industrial demand and global supply concerns are adding fuel to this sharp rally.
