Governor Mangubhai Patel attends the closing ceremony of Service Meet of Finance Service Officers Association
Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that it is crucial to maintain balance between work and family in life. It is necessary to be mindful of maintaining friendly interactions with family members and fulfilling responsibilities. Try to return home with the same happiness with which you leave home. He said that the position, honour and prestige earned in life while neglecting family responsibilities is useless. He said that cases of neglect of elderly parents are being heard in the society these days. This social anomaly is very worrying. Governor Shri Patel was addressing the closing ceremony of the Service Meet Get-Together organised by Madhya Pradesh Finance Service Officers Association.
Governor Mangubhai Patel said that finance is the backbone of governance and administration. The alliance of finance and culture together is rarely seen. He appreciated the initiative of Madhya Pradesh Finance Service Officers in this direction. He said that the role of finance service officers is very crucial in the state’s economic system, because they are the managers of the state’s treasury. Managing the financial resources of all the departments of the government, following financial discipline and availability of finance for development needs is a complex and challenging responsibility. It is important that the officers are active, sensitive, progressive, professionally competent, energetic and polite. It is very important that their approach is broad and inclusive. It is necessary that there is a balance between work and family and coordination between work priorities and family responsibilities.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora praised the responsibility and role of finance officers in the state’s economy and said that the officers of Madhya Pradesh Finance Service have set high standards of dedication. Even on the occasion of organizing the service meet, which is organized once a year, the officers have given priority to their responsibilities. Despite it being a holiday, many officers left the service meet midway and went to the office. He congratulated the winners of various competitions organised during the meet. He wished a bright future to the officers of the Finance Service Association.
At the beginning of the program, the officials of the Finance Services Association welcomed Governor Patel by presenting him a shawl, shrifal, souvenir and a bouquet of flowers. Governor Mangubhai Patel released the calendar of the year 2025 published by the association on cyber security. He honored retired officers Shri Gaurishankar Gurjar and Shri Anil Srivastava for their contribution in the creation of the book Finance System published last year by the association. In the absence of Shri Gaurishankar Gurjar, his batch mate Shri D.K. Srivastava received his award.
Governor Mangubhai Patel awarded the winners of the competitions organized during the meet. The awardees include Anvesha Thakur, winner of the children’s drawing competition, runner-up Prisha Baghel, Tanmay Dhakad, winner of the senior category of the children’s jalebi race competition, runner-up Raghav Mishra, winner Bhavmanyu in the junior category, runner-up Prarabdha, Solo Presentation Competition Singing Male Winner Shri Nitesh Panwar, Runner-up Shri Satish Upadhyay, Competition Singing Female Winner Sushri Madhu Chaudhary, Runner-up Smt. Rashmi Subba.
In the programme, Finance Secretary Shri Lokesh Jatav, President of Madhya Pradesh Finance Service Association Shri Ranjit Singh Chauhan, Vice President Smt. Amita Shrivastava, Manisha Mishra and Aditya Bhadoria were present on the stage.
