Building on the success of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, first initiated in 2003 under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel is now taking the state’s development strategy to a more localized level.

The newly launched Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences (VGRC) aim to highlight the specific strengths and investment opportunities of different regions, ensuring that growth benefits every part of the state.

The Saurashtra-Kutch edition of VGRC is scheduled to take place in Rajkot from January 10 to 12, 2026, marking the next step in Gujarat’s regional growth initiative.

To promote this upcoming conference and strengthen international engagement, the Gujarat government held a dialogue session in New Delhi on December 12, attended by diplomats and representatives from over 20 countries, including Russia, Canada, Israel, Singapore, UAE, Finland, and South Africa.

The session emphasized VGRC’s theme, “Regional Aspirations, Global Ambitions,” and highlighted Gujarat’s focus on building an inclusive, innovative, and sustainable economic ecosystem. Key sectors such as fisheries, ports, Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), and tourism were identified as major growth zones, with detailed discussions on B2B opportunities, partnerships, and logistical support for international participants.

Officials also highlighted the success of the North Gujarat VGRC in Mehsana, which secured investment MoUs worth Rs 3.24 lakh crore. Senior representatives from DPIIT, Union Fisheries Department, Invest India, and various Gujarat departments including Industries & Mines, Tourism, Maritime Board, and Dholera SIR participated in the session.

With increasing global interest and a focus on regional development, VGRC is emerging as a strategic platform that bridges Gujarat’s global ambitions with regional growth centers, reinforcing the state’s vision as a “Gateway to the Future.”

Since its inception after the 2001 earthquake, Vibrant Gujarat has grown into India’s most influential economic summit, attracting world leaders, multinational CEOs, global policymakers, and investors. Over the years, it has expanded its focus to sectors such as manufacturing, renewable energy, logistics, innovation, and startups, solidifying Gujarat’s reputation as a hub of policy clarity, business stability, and investor-friendly governance.

Now, after two decades of success, Vibrant Gujarat is not just an investment summit but a globally recognized platform shaping India’s long-term economic vision and international economic diplomacy.
