Chief Minister Unveils Statue of Maharana Pratap in Village Bhaira Bankipur, Sonipat

Chandigarh, July 14 –

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh said that over the past 10 years, the double engine government of the Centre and the state has taken initiatives to deliver welfare schemes to the common man, reaching till the last person standing in the queue. The positive impact of these schemes is evident, as even the poorest individuals now have smiles on their faces and receiving the benefits of welfare schemes.

The Haryana Chief Minister was addressing a public gathering after unveiling the statue of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap in village Bhaira Bankipur in the Rai constituency of Sonipat district. On this occasion, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 14 development projects worth Rs. 112 crore.

The Haryana Chief Minister mentioned that before 2014, governments only made announcements without implementing them. The government used to show dreams to the people, but those promises did not materialize in reality. Earlier, there was a crisis for electricity in the state, but the present government has reformed the system to ensure 24-hour power supply to the people.

He also highlighted that the government has provided government jobs to 1.5 lakh people without any bribery. Before 2014, the elderly received a mere Rs. 500 as a pension, but after coming to power, the government increased it to Rs. 1000. Today, 20 lakh eligible beneficiaries in the state are receiving an Old-Age Samman Allowance of Rs. 3000. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the country is functioning according to the Constitution and is progressing. Every needy person is being provided with facilities, which the opposition cannot digest. They are misleading people with lies, he added.

 

More Than 500 Schools Named After Martyrs

The Haryana  Chief Minister said that unveiling the statue of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap is a matter of great fortune for him. This statue will always inspire new generations with the bravery, patriotism, and courage of Maharana Pratap. He mentioned that about 509 schools in the state have been named after martyrs. Similarly, the Maharana Pratap Horticulture University has been established in Anjanthali, Karnal.

On this occasion, Rai MLA and BJP State President Mohan Lal Badoli welcomed the Chief Minister and said that people are benefiting from the government’s public welfare schemes. He mentioned the Happy Scheme, under which a common person can travel for free upto 1000 km in Haryana Transport buses with a Happy Card to visit relatives.

Sports Minister, Sh. Sanjay Singh also addressed the gathering.

Former Minister, Sh. Krishna Gehlawat, Former Minister, Smt. Kavita Jain, besides other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

 

Chief Minister Plants a Tree Under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh planted a tree in the premises of the Government Primary School in village Bhaira Bankipur under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. He stated that this campaign needs to be spread to every individual. BJP State President and Rai MLA, Sh. Mohanlal Badoli also participated in the tree planting.
