Haryana CM News: In a significant move to further secure the future of Agniveers, Haryana CM, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today announced that the state government will provide a 10 percent horizontal reservation for Agniveers in direct recruitment for the posts of constable, mining guard, forest guard, jail warden, and SPO (Special Police Officer).
Haryana CM was addressing a press conference here today. He said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi had implemented the ‘Agnipath’ scheme on June 14, 2022. Under this scheme, Agniveers are enrolled in the Indian Army for 4 years.
Agniveers will be given a 5 percent horizontal reservation in direct recruitment for civil posts in Group-C and a 1 percent horizontal reservation in Group-B
Sh. Nayab Singh Saini announced that the government has also decided to grant Agniveers a 3-year relaxation in the maximum age limit for government jobs in Group-B and Group-C. However, for the first batch of Agniveers, this age relaxation will be 5 years.
He further shared that the government will provide a 5 percent horizontal reservation for Agniveers in direct recruitment for civil posts in Group-C and a 1 percent horizontal reservation in Group-B.

The Chief Minister further shared that the state government has decided that if any industrial unit provides a monthly salary of more than Rs. 30,000 to an Agniveer, the state government will offer an annual subsidy of Rs. 60,000 to that industrial unit. Additionally, if an Agniveer establishes his own business, he will be provided interest benefit on the loans up to Rs. 5 lakh.
The Chief Minister said that Agniveers will be given Arms licences on a priority basis. Agniveers seeking employment in government departments/boards/corporations will be given priority in the matrix score, he said.

Navdeep Singh Virk, Principal Secretary, Sainik and Ardh Sainik Department, Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary, Mines and Geology Department, Sh. T.L. Satyaprakash, Director General, Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department, Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Director General, Mines and Geology Department, Sh. K. Makarand Pandurang, Special Secretary, Monitoring and Coordination, Dr. Priyanka Soni, Media Secretary, Sh. Praveen Attrey, and other officers remained present.
