Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini virtually inaugurates state-level essay and story narration competitions on Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Shaheedi Diwas, inspiring over 3,50,000 students across the state.
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini virtually inaugurated state-level essay writing and story narration competitions titled “Suno Kahani Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Ki” from the Haryana Secretariat on Monday, commemorating the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of the revered Sikh Guru.
Paying tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur’s unmatched courage, sacrifice, and martyrdom, CM Nayab Singh Saini said the Guru’s life serves as a timeless example of truth, bravery, and humanity.
The event was attended by Chief Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Dr. Sumita Misra, and other senior officials. Schools from across Haryana participated virtually, reflecting widespread engagement in the initiative.
During the event, students shared their reflections on the teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur, while four students presented Saakhi Vachan, narrating inspirational episodes from the Guru’s life. The CM encouraged students to draw lessons from the Guru’s life and apply them in their daily lives.
Congratulating the students, teachers, and parents, CM Saini highlighted that the competition aims to inspire younger generations to follow the path of Sikh Gurus and national heroes. He emphasized that from Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Sikh Gurus have sanctified Haryana with their teachings, which remain deeply ingrained in the hearts of the people.
More than 3,50,000 students from schools across the state are participating in this initiative, showcasing the growing influence of the Gurus’ ideals and sacrifices on the youth of Haryana.
