Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini disbursed a compensation of ₹52.14 crore to 22,617 farmers whose Rabi crops were damaged by heavy rainfall and hailstorms during the 2025 season. The compensation was determined based on detailed damage reports submitted through the “Kshatipurti Portal,” which remained active from December 2024 to March 2025. Farmers across the state reported their crop losses via the portal, followed by thorough inspections and verifications.
Speaking at the launch of the Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Department’s new website, Haryana CM informed that physical verification found approximately 57,485 acres of farmland across 15 districts eligible for compensation. These districts included Ambala, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Gurugram, Hisar, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Mahendragarh, Mewat, Palwal, Rewari, Rohtak, and Yamunanagar.
Highlighting the disbursement, Haryana CM Saini shared that Rewari district received the highest relief amount of ₹19.92 crore, followed by Mahendergarh with ₹10.74 crore, Jhajjar ₹8.33 crore, Gurugram ₹4.07 crore, Charkhi Dadri ₹3.67 crore, and Bhiwani ₹2.24 crore. Other districts received compensation based on the extent of verified crop damage and the number of affected farmers.
This financial assistance is intended to help farmers recover from losses caused by severe weather during the 2025 Rabi season. The compensations were calculated in line with government disaster relief norms and were disbursed following verification of affected areas. District authorities played a vital role in the verification process and ensured the timely release of funds to eligible farmers.
