Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini directs officials to ensure no student misses pre-matric and post-matric scholarship benefits. Focus on timely disbursal, awareness, and skill development for SC and BC students.
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini has instructed state officials to ensure that no student misses out on benefits under the pre-matric and post-matric scholarship schemes. Speaking on Thursday, CM Saini emphasized the government’s responsibility to support meritorious and needy students so that financial constraints do not disrupt their education.
Coordination and Awareness Among Officials and Institutions
The resident commissioner at Haryana Bhawan has been directed to coordinate with relevant Central ministry officials to gather detailed information about scholarship schemes. State departments will be regularly updated to ensure smooth implementation. Additionally, school and college principals have been asked to inform students about the schemes and ensure that scholarship forms are filled online without delay.
Transparency and Monitoring
During a review meeting on scholarships for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Backward Classes (BC) students, CM Saini stressed the importance of timely communication and strict monitoring. He instructed officials to install information boards in all schools and colleges displaying details of all scholarship schemes to help students complete applications efficiently. Periodic ground monitoring and review reports will ensure the state’s 40% share of scholarships is credited to students’ accounts, while the Central government’s 60% share is transferred through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Skill Development and Empowerment
CM Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the importance of skill development for the youth, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of creating self-reliant and employable citizens. The Haryana government aims to enhance skills, especially among economically weaker students from SC and BC communities, ensuring they not only receive quality education but also gain employability and contribute meaningfully to society.
