Haryana expands the Contractual Employees Service Security Act, 2024, adding four new categories. Eligible employees can register online until July 31.
In a significant move aimed at strengthening job security for contractual workers, the Haryana Government has expanded the scope of the Haryana Contractual Employees (Service Security) Act, 2024 by including four additional categories of contract employees. Along with the expansion, the government has reopened the online registration portal, allowing eligible employees to enroll and avail themselves of the benefits under the Act.
Four New Categories Included
As part of the latest notification, the following categories of contractual employees have now been brought under the registration process:
Computer Faculty working under the School Education Department.
Computer Lab Attendants employed in government schools.
Contractual employees engaged through the Department of Information Technology and Science (excluding HARTRON).
Contractual employees working with the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).
The expansion is expected to benefit a large number of employees serving in different government departments across the state.

Registration Open Until July 31
Eligible employees from the newly included categories can complete their registration through the official online portal:

The registration window will remain open until July 31, giving eligible contractual workers sufficient time to apply under the Service Security Act.
Government Aims to Strengthen Employee Welfare
The Haryana Government said the decision reflects its commitment to enhancing service protection and welfare for contractual employees working in various departments. By extending the Act’s coverage, the government seeks to ensure that more eligible workers receive the benefits and safeguards provided under the legislation.
Officials have urged all eligible employees to complete the registration process within the stipulated deadline to avoid missing the opportunity.
