Haryana Government : The Excise and Taxation Department of the Government of Haryana commemorated GST Day to mark the completion of eight years since the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax on 1st July 2017. Celebrations were held at both the district level and State Headquarters, with participation from industry representatives, members of Tax Bar Associations, and Chartered Accountant Associations.
In FY 2024-25, Haryana recorded a total GST collection of ₹1,19,362 crore, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 18.7% since FY 2017-18. The state secured the 5th position nationwide in overall GST collections for the year.
Haryana’s State GST (SGST) revenue stood at ₹23,253.92 crore in FY 2024-25, compared to ₹20,334.23 crore in FY 2023-24—registering a 14.35% growth. In the first quarter of FY 2025-26, SGST (including IGST settlements) reached ₹11,457.4 crore, up from ₹9,787.02 crore during the same period last year, reflecting a 17.01% growth.
Despite its relatively small size, Haryana ranked 1st among major states and 4th overall in per capita GST collection, with ₹47,082.89 per person in FY 2024-25.
As of 1st July 2025, the state had 5,79,133 registered GST taxpayers, of which 3,30,742 are assigned to the state authorities.
On the occasion, the Commissioner and Secretary, Excise and Taxation Department, Haryana, lauded the department’s consistent contribution to state revenues and its key role in the overall progress of Haryana. The Excise and Taxation Commissioner also praised the department’s performance in achieving high GST collections and urged officers to continue efforts to further enhance revenue generation.
