Chandigarh, July 13-

Haryana Minister of State for Development and Panchayats, and Cooperation Sh. Mahipal Dhanda while addressing a function organized by Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) in Mandi village of Panipat district today said that the strength of the farmer is linked with the strength of PACS. He said that PACS employees should work with utmost dedication and commitment to further strengthen the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies.

During the event, a social worker submitted a request to the Minister for the repair of dam and roads in Mandi village. On this, the Minister assured the villagers and PACS employees that all their genuine demands would be fulfilled.

Haryana Minister of State for Development and Panchayats, Sh. Dhanda stated that PACS was established to benefit as many farmers as possible in rural areas and more people should join PACS. The CHC and gas agencies could also be run through PACS. Apart from this, PACS could also be further strengthened by including several other establishments of the central government. It can also become a medium of business.

He said that employees should work through PACS by setting up projects and takes a pledge for further strengthening of PACS.

He emphasized that Farmers will benefit from the strengthening of PACS. He said that credit cards of farmers have been made, equipments are provided to farmers by providing large amount of subsidy; accounts of farmers have been opened in national banks which is a big achievement of the government.

The Minister said that farmers have contributed significantly in strengthening the economic condition of the country by way of adopting crop diversification.

On this occasion, PACS employees also submitted a demand letter to the Minister.

Chairman, PACS, Sh. Dilbag Singh, villagers and PACS employees were also present.
