In a candid interview on tech show TBPN, hosted by John Coogan and Jordi Hays, Parekh addressed claims that he had fraudulently worked at multiple U.S. startups simultaneously—without their knowledge.

His appearance follows explosive accusations made by Playground AI founder Suhail Doshi, who alleged that Parekh had “defrauded multiple startups” while moonlighting as a full-time employee at each. The controversy rapidly escalated online, with a flurry of tweets and viral speculation surrounding a mysterious account claiming to be the “Real Soham Parekh.” The account teased an upcoming interview, saying he was “pissed” and had “something to prove.”

In the tell-all interview, Parekh openly admitted to the allegations, confirming that he had indeed taken on several jobs simultaneously under false pretenses. However, he was quick to frame his decisions within a deeply personal and emotional context.

“I’m not proud of my actions,” he said. “But I had no other option. I was going through dire financial hardship. I had to survive.”

Labelled as a “former engineer” during the YouTube broadcast, Parekh offered an emotional explanation, describing how pressure and desperation had overridden his ethical judgment. “It wasn’t greed,” he insisted. “It was survival.”
