Jaipur: Out of 110 heatstroke deaths nationwide, Rajasthan has recorded 17 cases, according to data from the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC). After Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the state is in third place for the most heatstroke fatalities.
According to the data, between March 1 and June 18 of this year, at least 40,000 persons in the nation received a probable heatstroke diagnosis.With 36 deaths, Uttar Pradesh was the state most hit, followed by Bihar, Rajasthan, and Odisha.

An official source did note that the numbers are projected to be higher than currently reported and that the figures might not represent the states’ final submission.
Twelve males and five women made up the state’s 17 heatstroke fatalities as of Thursday, according to a Rajasthan health department officer. The state’s death audit committee verified that heatstroke was the cause of these deaths.
A 27-year-old man called Moti Singh passed away in Ajmer on May 26, marking the first heatstroke fatality in Rajasthani history. The most recent death occurred on June 18 and was that of a man known as Jamal, 28.
