AAP leader Isudan Gadhvi reacts to Chaitar Vasava case, alleging political conspiracy and BJP pressure on tribal voices in Gujarat.
Gujarat unit president of the Aam Aadmi Party Aam Aadmi Party, Isudan Gadhvi, strongly reacted to the court verdict involving MLA Chaitar Vasava, alleging that the ruling was part of a political conspiracy aimed at suppressing tribal voices in the state.
Gadhvi claimed that Chaitar Vasava, who has been consistently raising issues related to tribal rights, land disputes, and forest governance, has become a “thorn in the eyes” of the BJP due to his activism for the tribal community.
Allegations of repeated legal action and pressure
Isudan Gadhvi alleged that multiple cases were filed against Chaitar Vasava and that he was repeatedly sent to jail in connection with these matters. He further claimed that pressure tactics were used to silence him for raising the concerns of tribal citizens.
He said that Vasava had intervened in disputes between forest officials and farmers and helped reach settlements, but later faced political backlash and legal action.

“Attempt to suppress tribal voice”
The AAP leader alleged that administrative pressure and police complaints were part of a coordinated attempt to weaken Vasava’s political influence. He further claimed that efforts were made to offer political inducements, which Vasava allegedly refused.
According to Gadhvi, the conviction and sentencing are an extension of what he described as a systematic attempt to suppress tribal representation in Gujarat politics.
Appeal for justice in higher courts
Aam Aadmi Party leadership stated that the party will challenge the verdict in higher courts and is confident that justice will be delivered.
Gadhvi added that tribal communities across Gujarat, from Ambaji to Umargam, are deeply dissatisfied and will continue to raise their voice against what he termed as injustice.
