Speaking candidly in a video interview with the Press Trust of India (PTI), Jackson Wang called the rumors “fake news” and clarified that the speculation stemmed from an inside joke between him and a friend. “It’s a big movie. I’ve never acted before, so it’s impossible for me to do it,” Wang said with a laugh, putting an end to the fan-fueled fantasy.
Jackson Wang in Krrish 4?
The buzz had started after Jackson’s playful interaction during an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, where he jokingly said, “I’m in it. I’m the new Krrish. I’m just kidding.” Despite the light-hearted tone, fans quickly ran with the comment, creating fan edits and speculating on what a crossover between Bollywood and the K-pop world would look like.
Jackson Wang later explained, “This is a joke between him and me. So, it was just entertaining news,” adding that the viral headlines had spun out of a humorous private moment.
Hrithik Roshan & Jackson Wang’s Connection
Adding to the confusion was Jackson’s recent visit to India, where he was warmly welcomed by the Roshan family. A photo featuring Jackson Wang with Hrithik Roshan, his father Rakesh Roshan, and other family members went viral on social media. The veteran filmmaker captioned it, “Jackson welcome & God bless!”—further fueling speculation.
Despite no Bollywood project in the pipeline, Wang’s charisma and global reach have fans hoping that a collaboration with Indian cinema may happen someday. Known for hits like 100 Ways and Blow, the GOT7 member has made waves not just in Asia, but across the globe with his musical and cultural influence.
