Arvind Kejriwal, National Convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former Chief Minister of Delhi, met with the families affected by the Harni Boat tragedy in Vadodara, assuring them of full support and justice.
During the visit, Arvind Kejriwal personally listened to the grief and pain of the families who lost their children in the tragic incident two years ago. In the accident, 12 young children and 2 teachers lost their lives, leaving the community devastated. Despite the passage of time, many families have yet to receive justice, and Kejriwal promised to work tirelessly to ensure that the victims’ families receive the support and legal recourse they deserve.
Speaking to the victims, Arvind Kejriwal emphasized that the AAP stands with those affected and will fight for justice “under all circumstances.” The families recounted instances where their pleas were ignored during official programs. One mother, who lost her young daughter, recalled being forcibly removed from an event while seeking justice before Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. According to the families, whenever senior BJP leaders visit Vadodara, these victims are often kept under surveillance or prevented from raising their concerns.
